Single tickets for all 2024/2025 CSO and SCP events go on sale Aug. 7

Individual tickets for Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association’s 2024/25 programs go on sale Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. (CST). Tickets may be purchased online at cso.org or by calling (312) 294-3000.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra season begins Sept. 19 with a program led by conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada, who also leads the Symphony Ball gala concert featuring pianist Lang Lang on Sept. 21. Other highlights include four subscription programs conducted by CSO Music Director Emeritus for Life Riccardo Muti in fall 2024 and spring 2025 and the return of Zell Music Director Designate Klaus Mäkelä for two weeks of concerts April 24-May 4.

The season also features three appearances by CSO Artist-in-Residence and internationally acclaimed pianist Daniil Trifonov: on the Symphony Center Presents Piano series on Nov. 17, in recital with violinist Leonidas Kavakos on an SCP Chamber Music concert on March 9 and as soloist in Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 with the CSO and Mäkelä on May 1-4.

Individual tickets for CSO for Kids concerts, holiday performances of Merry, Merry Chicago! featuring the Chicago Symphony Chorus, and the complete lineup of Symphony Center Presents jazz, piano, chamber music and other programs also go on sale Aug. 7.

The music of John Williams with violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on Oct. 22, and the SCP concert featuring the Berlin Philharmonic on Nov. 26 are currently available as priority access concerts to subscribers purchasing three or more CSOA programs.

The popular Classic Encounter series returns this season with four preconcert programs led by WXRT-FM personality Terri Hemmert. The Thursday-night series occurs in Grainger Ballroom beginning at 6 p.m. for the following CSO concerts: Dec. 12, the Tempest & the Seahawk; March 13, Haydn Mass in Time of War; May 8, Mahler 6 with Jaap van Zweden, and June 5, Elder, Goosby & Price. Classic Encounter tickets may be added to individual tickets for each of the concerts listed above. Subscribers to the series save 15 percent when purchasing three or more Classic Encounter events and their CSO concert dates.
