Meet the composer: Julia Wolfe on ‘Her Story’

Her Story composer Julia Wolfe finds music a powerful vehicle to express an emotional response to historic and current events. Through her art, Wolfe pays tribute to the ongoing struggle for equal rights and representation for all by creating melodies that reflect historical figures and pivotal moments. Experience her impactful Her Story, a 40-minute theatrical experience for orchestra and women’s vocal ensemble, performed Jan. 6-7 by the CSO and Lorelei Ensemble under the baton of Marin Alsop.
