This week, we hear Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, led by CSO Zell Music Director Designate Klaus Mäkelä. The program opens with The Swan of Tuonela from Sibelius’ Four Legends from the Kalevala, and in between, we hear the U.S. premiere of Aino, a piece co-commissioned by the CSO and composed by López Bellido.
