Join the CSO Student Ambassadors for Teen Night at Symphony Center: Boulanger, Ravel & Debussy La mer on Monday, February 10.

Enjoy complimentary pizza and treats, mingle with new friends and attend a teen arts panel discussion before a concert in Orchestra Hall featuring the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. All-inclusive tickets for teens are just $5!

Pizza & Treats

Beginning at 5:00, teens are welcome to partake of complimentary treats and pizza. Seating will be available on a limited basis in Buntrock Hall and on the second floor of the Rotunda. Meet new people, participate in CSO Student Ambassador-led activities or just have a conversation with your group. Refreshments will be served while supplies last, until 7:15.

Visit an information table run by a Chicago teen arts organization. Learn more about how to get involved in teen programs at the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago Architecture Center, Steppenwolf Theatre and more!

Interactive Digital Gallery Walk

In the Rotunda outside of Buntrock Hall, stroll through a digital gallery and learn more about the music, themes and composers represented on the evening’s program from one of the CSO Student Ambassadors.


6:45 | Teen Arts Panel

Buntrock Hall

Join representatives of teen arts organizations in Chicago for a half-hour panel discussion of the themes represented in the evening’s program, as well as what it’s like to be a teen artist and arts advocate in Chicago.


7:30 | Boulanger, Ravel & Debussy La mer

Orchestra Hall

Composed under the gathering war clouds of 1914, Ravel’s Piano Trio melds Parisian refinement with the teeming rhythms of France’s Basque region. In his Civic Orchestra debut, Alexander Shelley conducts a brilliant orchestration of the trio, along with Debussy’s wondrous seascape La mer and Lili Boulanger’s exquisite ode to a spring morning.
