Driving directions to the Grant Park South Garage
From the north/northwest: Take the Edens Expressway (I-94) to the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94). At the Jayne Byrne Interchange, merge onto I-290 East and West Ida B. Wells Drive. Turn left onto East Congress Plaza Dr (at Michigan Avenue) and then make a right turn onto Michigan Ave. The Grant Park South Garage entrance is on the left, in the middle of Michigan Avenue.
From the west: The Eisenhower (I-290) becomes westbound Congress Parkway/Ida B. Wells Drive. Proceed east past Michigan Avenue. Turn left on to eastbound Ida B. Wells Drive, heading northwest. Turn right on to Michigan Avenue, heading north. Enter the Grant Park South Garage on the left, in the middle of Michigan Avenue.
From the southwest: Take the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) to DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Head north on DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Turn left on to eastbound Balbo Drive, heading west. Turn right on to Michigan Avenue and head north for three blocks. After Van Buren Street, the entrance to the Grant Park South Garage is on the left, in the middle of Michigan Avenue.
From the south: Take the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) to westbound Roosevelt Road. Head east on Roosevelt Road. Make a left onto Michigan Avenue, heading north for seven blocks. After Van Buren Street, the entrance to the Grant Park South Garage is on the left, in the middle of Michigan Avenue.
Parking: Exclusive parking rates are available through Millennium Garages, the Preferred Parking Partner for Symphony Center. The closest parking garage is the Grant Park South Garage, located at 325 S. Michigan Ave.

Subscriber parking card
Subscribers are eligible to receive an exclusive flat rate for up to 12 hours of parking at any of the Millennium Garages, including Grant Park South, Grant Park North, Millennium Park and Millennium Lakeside. To take advantage of this option, you will need to set up a CSO Parking Card. This card will be linked to your credit or debit card, which will be charged each time you park.
To sign up for a CSO Parking Card, create an account through the Flex Daily Portal. When creating your account, include “CSO Subscriber” in the company field to ensure you receive the exclusive CSO rate.
- You can add up to three vehicles/license plate numbers to your profile
- One car allowed in the garage at a time
- Always keep your keycard with you as that is your main credential
If you already have a parking card, there is no need to create a new account; your card does not expire. Keep your payment information up-to-date to via the Flex Daily Portal to avoid any parking disruptions.

The Grant Park South Garage offers a security escort between the garage’s pedestrian lobby and your vehicle. To take advantage of this service, please call 312-922-1156 15-20 minutes prior to walking to the garage.
Parking validation machine at the Box Office
A parking validation machine is available at the Symphony Center Box Office. The validation machine rate is $22 for up to 12 hours of parking at the Grant Park South garage.
Valet service at Adams St. entrance
Valet parking service is located at the 67 E. Adams St. entrance of Symphony Center, and is available for CSO Classical, SCP Jazz, SCP Chamber Music, SCP Orchestra and SCP Piano performances.
For weekday evening performances, valet service begins at 5 p.m. For matinee and weekend performances, valet service begins two and a half hours before the performance. After the performance concludes, cars need to be retrieved within one hour. The valet service is $35, cash only, and reservations are not required in advance.
Please note, valet service is not available for the following concert types: Civic Orchestra of Chicago, CSO at the Movies, CSO at Wheaton, CSO Chamber Music, CSO Featured Concert, CSO for Kids, CSO MusicNOW, SCP Featured Concert and Visiting Presenter. North Shore Shuttle for Friday Concerts
With the popular North Shore Shuttle, you can avoid the stress of driving downtown and instead sit back, relax and enjoy the company of other Chicago Symphony Orchestra patrons. The shuttle departs from Winnetka three hours before the concert, allowing you to arrive early enough for either the preconcert conversation or a chance to dine downtown before the performance. The roundtrip shuttle ride is $25 per person and advance reservation is required as space is limited. Learn more and book your ride today.
Public transportation
Symphony Center is conveniently located near several Chicago Transit Authority, train and bus stations. The Adams/Wabash CTA L station (Brown, Green, Orange and Pink lines) is one block west. Buses that service the area include routes 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 26, 28, 126, 143, 147 and 151.
Metra provides service to many suburbs, departing from four downtown stations.
Bike share and bike racks
A Divvy bike station is located on the north side of Symphony Center at 67 E. Adams. Bike racks are located on Michigan Avenue.
