Rachel Steele

Rachel Steele is a composer, photographer, designer and installation artist based in Chicago. Her work centers on LGBTQIA+ collective memory, accessibility, communal listening and the exploration of spatial, historical, ecological, social and emotional parameters of sound.

Her experiments with sound include field recordings, electronic compositions, kinetic sound sculptures and audio-visual installations.

Steele’s work has been included in group exhibitions at the Design Museum of Chicago.
