Gloria Kravchenko is a junior in the visual arts department at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. A Chicago-based composer and violinist, she is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, and relocated at the start of her freshman year. She studies violin with Jasmine Lin at the Music Institute of Chicago and performs with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, while also studying composition with Eric Malmquist through the CYSO Composition Seminar. Having composed for two years, her work is primarily inspired by visual art, and she has created gallery installations at her school to showcase the connection between the two disciplines.
