Overview
Ken-David Masur conducts a dream sequence of pieces. Berlioz’s feverish portrait of an obsessed lover’s opium dream comes complete with a whirling ballroom scene, cackling witches and a slashing guillotine. Anna Clyne’s Masquerade evokes the 18th-century promenade concerts held in London’s pleasure gardens. Anna Thorvaldsdóttir‘s Dreaming summons an ethereal landscape in which chronological time comes to a halt.
This event also takes place at Kenwood Academy on May 14 »
