Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science/Rudresh Mahanthappa Trio

Drummer and NEA Jazz Master Terri Lyne Carrington chairs a genre-bending sextet that sculpts hip-hop grooves and free improvisations into a vehicle for a powerful message. Celebrated as “one of the strongest voices on the jazz scene” (All Music), saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa and his trio bring searing energy and boundless creativity to reimagined jazz standards and pop tunes in a salute to Mahanthappa’s musical heroes.
