Overview
The Lincoln String Quartet presents two intriguing works by Mozart and Dvořák distinctive of both composers’ work at the end of their lives. Mozart’s String Quartet No. 22 in B-Flat Major, one of his posthumously published Prussian quartets, is ornamental and astutely expressive. The program closes with one of the ensemble’s signature works, Dvořák’s harmonically rich String Quartet No. 12 in F Major, which is dappled with subtle allusions to American folk music.
This concert is presented in collaboration with the Beverly Arts Center.
