Debussy’s Prelude to The Afternoon of a Faun (arr. Sachs)

OVERVIEW

Inspired by a poem of the same title, members of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago perform an arrangement of Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. This rhapsodic work is full of rich and adventurous chromaticism evoking themes of seduction and dreamstate found throughout the poem.
