Starting Nov. 4, relive the magic of Mason Bates’ Philharmonia Fantastique: The Making of the Orchestra in your own home. Starring the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Fantastique is a 25-minute concerto and animated film suggesting that the orchestra is the ideal marriage of tradition and innovation. After live performances nationwide, the project comes out in a film version available to watch or buy on Apple TV or stream on Apple Music. Its mix of music and animation echoes children's classics such as Peter and the Wolf, but with a fresh approach designed by Oscar winner Gary Rydstrom and Oscar nominee Jim Capobianco.
