CSO at Ravinia
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra returns to its summer home for a six-week engagement beginning July 11 and running until Aug. 17. Curated by Chief Conductor Marin Alsop, the schedule features Mahler's Second Symphony (Resurrection), Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, the annual Tchaikovsky Spectacular, the annual gala (a Broadway tribute with stars Sutton Foster and Kelli O'Hara) and special concerts with Oscar winner Morgan Freeman, Grammy-winning indie rock singer-songwriter Beck and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo. After helping to inaugurate the first season of the Ravinia Festival in 1936, the Chicago Symphony has been in residence there every summer since, save for 2020.
