Haydn The Creation

Sir Georg Solti opens this program with Debussy’s Prelude to The Afternoon of a Faun—featuring longtime principal flute Donald Peck—recorded during his final season as the Orchestra’s eighth music director. Returning as music director laureate, Solti conducts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in Haydn’s oratorio The Creation.
