Erina Yashima leads the CSO

This week, Erina Yashima makes her conducting debut with the CSO in concert, after holding the CSO’s Solti conducting apprenticeship from 2015 until 2019 and leading Stravinsky’s A Soldier’s Tale for CSO Sessions. The program features works by Coleridge-Taylor, Schubert, and Kodály, plus Strum by Jessie Montgomery, the CSO’s Mead Composer-in-Residence. Rounding out the broadcast, Rafael Kubelík leads Bartók’s Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta from a 1951 Mercury recording.
