Additional concerts announced for the CSO and SCP 25/26 seasons

Two more Symphony Center Presents concerts and an additional Chicago Symphony Orchestra program have been added to the previously announced slates of programs.

Aida Cuevas, Sept. 26: “The Queen of Ranchera Music” presents a performance commemorating her 50-year career as an interpreter of Mexican and Latin-American musical traditions. The program features selections from her extensive repertoire, with well-known songs such as “El Pastor” and “Quizás Mañana” performed with an emphasis on the stylistic elements of the genre.

Ravi Shankar Ensemble, March 22, 2026: Curated by Sukanya and Anoushka Shankar, the ensemble is a multi-generational collective dedicated to presenting Ravi Shankar’s masterful compositions and preserving the rich traditions of North Indian classical music. The ensemble’s debut tour showcases his soul-stirring works, alongside rare archival visuals, in a powerful tribute to his enduring legacy.

Chicago Symphony Orchestra in John Williams’ music for the films of Steven Spielberg, June 23, 2026: In this one-night only program, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra presents a concert showcasing the musical contributions of composer John Williams to the films of director Steven Spielberg. Conducted by Steven Reineke, this performance will feature selections from the Williams/Spielberg 50-year partnership.
