Ticket Holder Disclaimer

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association (CSOA) reserves the right to revoke the license granted by a ticket. The ticket holder assumes all risks and dangers relating to attending any event at Symphony Center or presented by the CSOA.

One entry per ticket. Unauthorized duplication of tickets and modified ticket designs may prevent admittance to the event. 

Artists, prices, and programs are subject to change.

There are no refunds or exchanges for some tickets and performances. Fees may apply for some ticket exchanges. Tickets cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged after the start of a performance. All single ticket sales are non-refundable. 

Late seating is at the discretion of house management and may not be available for certain programs and seating locations.

Children eight years of age and older are welcome to attend concerts at Symphony Center. CSO for Kids and select holiday and film concerts are open to children three years of age and older. All children, regardless of age, must have their own tickets for all performances. 

Box seating is on a rotational basis at all concerts.

The CSOA requires that oversized bags be checked at one of the many Coat Checks conveniently located throughout Symphony Center. The CSOA also reserves the right to search bags for security reasons.

By attending a CSOA presentation, the ticket holder acknowledges and voluntarily agrees to assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases, following required audience safety measures and all other terms and conditions. When face coverings are required, ticket holders without appropriate face coverings or not wearing a face covering correctly, will not be permitted entry. Seating assignments may be adjusted up to the time of the performance, if social distancing measures are required due to public health regulations. CSOA and Symphony Center ticketing and attendance policies are subject to change and are subject to city and state public health guidelines.

The CSOA reserves the right to record performances, including the audience, for future broadcast or promotion. Your attendance at this event shall be deemed consent and permission to use your image, as captured in photograph or on video, in connection with the promotion and marketing of the CSOA and its related events.

Fee Information

Service Fee: A $10 per-ticket fee is applied to most orders. Service fees may vary for select concerts, including rental events where taxes may also be applicable. This fee does not apply to subscriptions and additional tickets ordered with the initial subscription order. 

Will Call or Shipping: Tickets held at the Box Office or shipped are subject to a $5 order fee. Express shipping is $20.

Subscriptions: Subscription orders are subject to a $25 fee at the time of order. An additional $3 per-ticket fee is applied to orders with physical, printed tickets.

Ticket Exchanges: As of September 2025, subscriber ticket exchanges made seven days or less from the concert date are subject to a $15 fee. All other ticket exchanges are subject to a $15 fee at any time. Additional fees may apply based on the type of exchange. Exchange fees apply when placing money on account. (Through the 2024/25 Season, the exchange fee is $10 per order and applied the day of the concert for Curated subscription exchanges, and any time for all other exchanges.) 

Reprints: Ticket reprint requests at the Box Office are subject to a $5 fee per order.

Credit Card Processing: Patrons may elect to pay an additional 3% fee to offset the costs of credit card processing charges.

Group Orders: Orders made through Group Sales are subject to a $25 order fee.

VIP Patrons: Patrons with access to VIP Services pay the standard service fee and subscription fees when applicable. Exchange, printing and shipping fees are waived for these patrons.
