Mark Berney is hailed as one of New England's most handsome and versatile middle-aged trumpeters. He joined the Klezmer Conservatory Band in 1998 and has appeared at the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and the URI Fine Arts Center. Berney teaches trumpet, improvisation and music history at the University of Rhode Island. He has been known to perform a lively wedding celebration on a Saturday night, then run a full marathon the following morning.
