Advisory Board

The CSO Latino Alliance Advisory Board meets monthly to discuss strategy for moving the Alliance forward. Updates will be emailed periodically to all Alliance members to keep you informed and sometimes to ask for help in spreading the word about our events. Estefania García, Co-Chair
Estefania García was born and raised in Colombia. She is a Senior Manager in the Global Category Solutions of Marketing Procurement at Abbott Laboratories. Estefania has collaborated with organizations in the past years to connect and elevate the Latino and women community. She enjoys the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and has found an opportunity to contribute to the Latino community by engaging with music in the CSO Latino Alliance.

Juan B. Solana, Co-Chair
Juan Solana is the Global Director, Advanced Analytics Marketing at General Motors. Before that, he held marketing analytics positions at Walmart Inc. and Nielsen Corp. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a doctorate in economics from Purdue University. Juan joined CSO’s Latino Alliance in its founding year to channel his passion for Audience development, Programming expansion, and access to musical education for all.  

Emmanuel (Manny) Almonte, Events Committee Co-Chair
Manny Almonte is a healthcare business banker at PNC. He enjoys playing the guitar, reading philosophy, running, and skiing in his free time. He played the violin growing up which sparked his love for music. He looks forward to continue sharing this passion through the Latino Alliance.

Rina Magarici, Emeritus Co-Chair & Events Committee Co-Chair
Rina Magarici was born and raised in Venezuela, where she took conservatory music classes in piano, harmony, music history and aesthetics for more than 10 years. She graduated from New York University and moved to Chicago in 2010, where she obtained her MBA and worked as a marketing executive. Being part of the CSO Latino Alliance allows her to share her passion for music, a universal language. Rina served as Co-Chair for the Alliance from 2018 to 2024, and currently remains Emeritus Co-Chair.

Nicolas Medina, Outreach & Membership Committee Chair
Nicolas Medina is a Construction Project Manager at Burns & McDonnell (BMcD), specializing in power delivery infrastructure. He also serves as a Business Diversity Lead, spearheading initiatives to promote the participation of Small and Diverse businesses in engineering and construction. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Nicolas set roots in Chicago in January 2021. Since then, he has become an active member of the city’s vibrant Latino community, joining organizations such as the Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation Leadership Academy and taking roles such as Community Involvement Lead of the LATINX ERG at BMcD. Through his involvement in these organizations and the CSO Latino Alliance, Nicolas hopes to stay true to his commitment to continue advancing the participation of Latinos in business, government and the arts.

Ramiro J. Atristaín-Carrión, Emeritus Co-Chair
Ramiro J. Atristaín-Carrión is the Managing Director of Atristain Financial Advisors, LLC. He serves as an executive-in-residence, adjunct professor, and Advisory Board member at the Brennan School of Business at Dominican University. He is also the co-founder and chair of the Board of the CLESF Foundation. Additionally, Ramiro is a board member of the Metropolitan Planning Council and Stuart Investments, and he chairs the Board of Instituto Cervantes. He has authored a book in Spanish titled "El dinero en tu vida" and co-authored two books on finance and international business. He is fluent in Italian.

Maria Angelica Cuellar
Maria Angelica is a Colombian-Chicagoan who has a long history of playing the violin, Irish dancing, and acting. Her background is in Business Development and Public Relations. She is a co-founder of Incontact Group LLC where she helps companies refine and maximize their core value proposition. Utilizing her marketing and PR experience, Maria looks forward to promoting the CSO Latino Alliance to reach a larger audience in Chicago.

Xavier Beteta
Xavier Beteta is a Guatemala City-born pianist and composer, is known for his versatile musical talents and achievements. He studied piano at the National Conservatory of Guatemala and furthered his education in the United States and Italy, earning awards in national and international piano and composition competitions. Xavier’s compositions have been performed at prestigious festivals across Europe and the United States, and he has collaborated with esteemed ensembles such as Accroche Note and Ensemble Signal. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Music in Composition at the Wheaton College Conservatory, where he brings his extensive experience to inspire and guide the next generation of musicians. In addition to his musical pursuits, Xavier holds a law degree and is passionate about art law, copyright, poetry, and tango.

Angélica Cano
Angélica Cano is a Chicago native, born of Mexican and Guatemalan immigrants. She currently works as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, where she specializes in Federal Forensic Investigations. For over 15 years, Angélica was part of an all-female Guatemalan marimba music group, that performed all over the United States, Canada, and Guatemala. She currently plays the cello and enjoys photographing landscapes around the world. Growing up in Belmont Cragin, classical music wasn’t easily accessible. However, at a young age, CSO initiatives provided her an opportunity to witness the CSO firsthand. Since then, Angélica has been inspired by the power of music and believes that music, especially classical music is for everyone.   

María Carbonell Rojas
María Carbonell Rojas is a Chicagoan-Venezuelan with an enormous passion for the Arts, DE&I, and mental health. She is a Bilingual Learning & Development professional in the insurance industry with a background in event & programming management, client relationship management, and corporate training. Her passion for classical music and the Arts was, and continues to be, influenced by her family. Though not an artist herself, she focused her creative nature in photography, dance, and innovative creating solutions to common problems.

Enrique Carrillo
Enrique Carrillo is a senior executive at Accenture with extensive international experience in global business development, sales, marketing, and customer success. Enrique is also a dedicated community leader and has received numerous awards, including the Chicago United Business Leaders of Color Award and the Marketing 2.0 Conference Outstanding Leadership Award. A resident of Chicago, Enrique holds an Executive MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Enrique is thrilled to be part of the CSO Latino Alliance Advisory Board, where he is excited to help propel the Latino/Hispanic music heritage and support new artists within the Chicago community.

Jesús Del Toro
Jesús Del Toro is the director of La Raza newspaper and was named “Latino Publisher of the Year”. An award-winning poet, media executive, and PhD in Journalism, Del Toro was a fellow of the NEA Institute in Classical Music and Opera at Columbia University and recently published a book about Mexican composer Silvestre Revueltas’ music and experience in the United States. He is specially interested in promoting artists and repertoire from Latin America and Spain. His media projects aimed to empower the Chicago Latino community have received support from the Chicago Community Trust, the Field Foundation, and the Press Forward initiative. Appointed by the Governor, he was a member of the Illinois Journalism Task Force. 

Michael Delgado
Michael Delgado is a special agent with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Office of Inspector General. He is a graduate of the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement’s Emerging Leader Program. He has a love for music and plays the tuba in a community band.

Pedro Guerrero
Pedro Guerrero is the Assistant Director of Development for The DePaul School of Music. A native of Lima, Peru, Pedro was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent his high school summers performing at the St. Louis Municipal Opera Theatre (MUNY). He credits his time at the MUNY for building essential life skills that have opened many doors for him, including advocating in Congress and serving as the 2014 Loyola University Chicago commencement speaker. He has worked as the Individual Giving Manager at the People’s Music School, an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at Loyola University Chicago, a legislative aide in the Missouri Legislature, and a Student Life Assistant at Loyola Chicago’s John Felice Rome Center in Rome, Italy.

Melynna Hakim Arreola-Quiroga
Melynna Hakim Arreola-Quiroga was born in Durango, Mexico. She studies Accountancy, Finance, and Philosophy at DePaul University. Growing up in her family’s construction business, Arreola Brothers LLC, she discovered her love for the business world. Her passion for classical music was instilled at birth by her mother and she became an avid viola player. During her free time, she volunteers on the board for Kisses from Keegan Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Her goal is to expand the beauty of the CSO’s timeless music pieces to young professionals in the Chicago area.

Henry Johanet
Henry Johanet serves as oncology district sales manager for Eisai Inc. and holds an MBA in marketing management from DePaul University. He brings a passion for innovative outreach to the CSO Latino Alliance and is enthralled by the orchestra’s collaborative processes and musical artistry. 

Ariana Serna 
Ariana Serna is a dynamic professional with a focus on new market expansion and community engagement. She currently leads New Market Expansion at Enclave Coworking, driving the opening of new spaces and ensuring exceptional member experiences. Ariana is deeply committed to promoting diversity and inclusion, serving as the Chicago co-chair for The Latinista and as a member of the DEI committee for the Ravinia Associates Board. A proud first-generation Mexican American, Ariana leverages her background and skills to invest in and uplift the Latino community, particularly in the arts.
