Overview

Steeped in the grandeur and intricacy of the Baroque age, J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos are a showcase for his inexhaustible imagination. The surprises are endless — from the sumptuous string textures of No. 3 to the audacious harpsichord solo in No. 5. Ken-David Masur conducts the program’s finale in a perfect complement to the holiday season.
