Mar 11, 2024

Overview

Siamsa na nGael has become a well-known and anticipated event in Chicago, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by presenting unique, world-class Celtic entertainment. The 2024 Siamsa na nGael will showcase some of the finest Celtic artists in Chicago and throughout the world.

We share the story of Brigid of Kildare, from Celtic goddess to Saint, and the storied role she occupies not only in history, but in our imagination. Our program explores and celebrates her important legacy and what it means for healing and unity in our world today.

This historic and powerful story will be told through song, music, and dance. The tales will be narrated and celebrated through performances by soloists, Irish Tenor and Original Member of Celtic Woman, Chole Agnew, Chicago’s own Irish diva Catherine O’Connell and nationally acclaimed tenor Devin DeSantis; by the Metropolis Symphony Orchestra, the Old St. Patrick’s Choir, the step dancing of the Trinity Irish Dance, an Irish Trad Band, special guest narrators and many more.

Post performance and sponsorship packages are available by calling Old St. Patrick’s Church 312-798-2343.
