CSO at Apostolic Church of God

Feb 16, 2024

Overview

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra returns to Apostolic Church of God in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood for a free community concert. Sheku Kanneh-Mason, hailed by The New Yorker as “a cellist of blazing sensitivity,” performs Elgar’s rhapsodic Cello Concerto. Smetana’s The Moldau depicts the river’s powerful currents rolling through the idyllic Czech countryside, and Beethoven’s jubilant hymn to liberty opens the program.

Please note: this event will be held at the Apostolic Church of God, 6320 S. Dorchester Ave, Chicago IL, 60637.

Admission is free; advance reservations are encouraged.
