Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht, Op. 4

OVERVIEW

Arnold Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night) is one of the last great romantic works of the canon. A string sextet spins the intimate story of a couple deeply in love and the secrets they share on their walk through a cold, moonlit forest.

This performance is from CSO Sessions Ep. 20: Mazzoli & Schoenberg.
