Storgårds Conducts Higdon’s blue cathedral

OVERVIEW

John Storgårds leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in its first performance of Jennifer Higdon’s blue cathedral. The Curtis Institute of Music commissioned the work, which Higdon composed in 2000 as a tribute to her late brother. This excerpt was recorded on December 5, 2019.
