The Negaunee Music Institute at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra celebrated another inspirational season of education and community engagement during its annual NMI Showcase on Monday in Orchestra Hall. The program featured remarkable artists, including musicians from the CSO, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Percussion Scholarship Program, Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative, Young Artists Competition and more. The event also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Civic Fellowship program, with world premieres from composer Tyshawn Sorey and former Civic Fellow alum Zachary Good.
