From lobby bars serving delightful refreshments to sit-down pre-concert dining and options for unforgettable private events, the two world-class institutions Levy Restaurants and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association are working together to deliver an elevated concert experience.
NEW — Sound Bites: preorder meal pickup
Food and drinks made easy. Preorder a meal to enjoy before your concert experience. Select from a menu of handcrafted sandwiches, salads and various snacks. Your order will be ready for pickup at the Bass Bar in the Rotunda of Symphony Center. Open table seating is available on the first and second floors of the Rotunda. Sound Bites preconcert meals are available for select concerts; preorder your meal online through Tock today.
- Evening concerts: place your order by 3:00 p.m. for same-day pickup. Pick up between 5:30-7:00 p.m. for 7:30 p.m. concerts.
- Friday matinees: place your order by 10:00 p.m. the day before your concert. Pick up between 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for 1:30 p.m. concerts.
- Pickup times will be adjusted depending on the concert start time. Pick up your order starting 2 hours before the concert; the final opportunity for meal pick up is 30 minutes before the concert.
Dining at The Thomas Club
Located on the ninth floor of Symphony Center, The Richard & Helen Thomas Club is open for dinner on select concert dates bringing concertgoers an enchanting dining experience with a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. Reservations to dine at The Thomas Club are required and may be made by calling Patron Services at 312-294-3000 or online through Tock.
The prix fixe menu will change seasonally to include fresh and creative dishes, complemented by a thoughtfully curated wine and bar program. Dinner is offered at $75 per guest and includes three courses with after-dinner coffee or tea.
Priority Access for Donors
Priority reservation and prime table access at the Thomas Club is given to donors who give $4,500 or more a year annually to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, and to Governing Members and Stradivarian Associates of the Theodore Thomas Society.
Eligible donors may make reservations online through Tock, by calling 312-294-3020 or emailing the Club.
Community tables are available whenever the Club is open. These shared tables are a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a lively dining experience with other donors, whether you’re attending on your own or with guests. If you would like to join a community table, indicate your interest over the phone or in the message section of the online reservation form.
Refreshments at Symphony Center
You can order drinks and snacks before the performance or during intermission at various bars located throughout Symphony Center, including the Bass Bar in the Rotunda and most of the lobby spaces in Orchestra Hall. Please note, bar service is cashless, and you can save time at intermission by making a preorder at the bar before the performance. Only bottled water is permitted inside the hall for most concerts and concessions may not be available for some events.
