Jenny Choi began her violin studies at age 10. She is a recent graduate with a Master of Music from Northwestern University, studying with Jinjoo Cho and Desiree Ruhstrat. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music, studying with Mikhail Kopelman. Jenny is passionate in both orchestral and chamber repertoire. During her studies, she has been Principal and Concertmaster in orchestras of both institutions.
In 2024, she was the Grand Prize winner of the Dover Chamber Music Competition at Northwestern and also was awarded the John Celentano Chamber Music award in 2023 at Eastman. Her past summer festivals include the National Orchestral Institute+ Festival, Encore Chamber Music Institute, Bowdoin International Music Festival, NSO-SMI, and Brevard Music Center. This summer, Jenny is excited to join the Ravinia Festival’s Reach Teach Play program as an intern.
