Miles Maner

Miles Maner joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) in July 2013 as contrabassoon/bassoon and joined the DePaul University School of Music faculty in 2014.

For the three seasons prior to his appointment at the CSO, Maner performed with the Kansas City Symphony in their new home, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. In addition to his position there as associate principal bassoon and contrabassoon, Maner was the principal bassoon of the Breckenridge Music Festival. Previously, he has participated in such prestigious music festivals as the Pacific Music Festival, the Tanglewood Music Center and the National Repertory Orchestra.

His former teachers are Benjamin Kamins of Rice University and Kristin Wolfe Jensen of the University of Texas.
