Overview

With leadership from CSO Mead Composer-in-Residence Jessie Montgomery, the Young Composers Initiative engages youth from across the Chicago region and empowers them to create new pieces of chamber music. In this season’s culminating event, musicians of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago perform world premieres of works by the six composers selected to participate in the program.

Note location: Buntrock Hall at Symphony Center.
