Join the CSO's AAN for a spirited celebration of one of America's greatest composers. Also a pianist and organist, George Walker was the first African American to graduate from Philadelphia's prestigious Curtis Institute of Music. He published over 90 works throughout his career, and wrote pieces for piano, cello, violin, viola, voice, orchestra, chorus, organ and more. Walker was the first African American to receive the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his work Lilacs.
