Benjamin Britten’s iconic introduction to the orchestra pays tribute to Henry Purcell, one of England's greatest composers, while its astonishingly inventive set of variations displays the technical and expressive mastery found in the modern orchestra. Guest actors from The Second City join the CSO to guide the audience in understanding the inner workings of the orchestra, bringing extra fun and laughter to this engaging program.
