Internationally renowned artist and local Chicago resident Vadim Gluzman performs Bruch’s beloved First Violin Concerto. “Gluzman's playing is entirely bewitching. Drawing intoxicating tones, Gluzman combines awesome technical ease with a sweet Oistrakh-like sound” (The Strad).

Last season, Osmo Vänskä brought the Minnesota Orchestra to Orchestra Hall for its first concert there in more than 50 years, and this month, he will return to guest-conduct the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in concerts March 21 and 23. Of his long tenure in Minnesota, from which he'll step down in 2022, he said, "This has been a really good place for me — a very good time, and I love the orchestra.
