Semyon Bychkov returns to conduct Tchaikovsky's vividly dramatic Manfred Symphony, based on Lord Byron's tragic and enigmatic hero. The legendary Labèque sisters, “the best piano duet in front of an audience today” (The New York Times), join the CSO for a rarely performed gem, Bruch's richly melodic Concerto for Two Pianos.

This event takes place at the Hancher Auditorium at the University of Iowa. Tickets and more information are available from the Hancher Auditorium.

The Labèque sisters — Katia and Marielle — just might be the world's most famous piano duo, but they are hardly resting on their laurels. Their latest recording, "Moondog Minimalist Dream House, is set for release this spring on Deutsche Grammophon, and they are scheduled to premiere new concertos for two pianos by Bryce Dessner in April and by Nico Muhly in 2019. “We still have so much to learn, to work (on), to practice. We never stop," said Katia Labèque. "We still have tons of projects, [tons] of new music to learn. We never feel like we have arrived.” Read more at CSO Sounds & Stories
