The Civic Orchestra of Chicago presents its fourth annual Bach Marathon in partnership with the Merit School of Music. Inspired by Judson and Joyce Green Creative Consultant Yo-Yo Ma, the marathon is a day-long celebration of music during which small ensembles from the Civic Orchestra perform each of J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos in Chicago Public elementary schools, the Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza, and Fourth Presbyterian Church in downtown Chicago. 

The performances at Christkindlmarket (11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) and the finale concert at Fourth Presbyterian Church (7:00 p.m.) are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

Approximate concert duration: 120 minutes including intermission

Ticket processing fees: $6 per ticket for phone or web orders, $3 per ticket at the Box Office, $5 per ticket for Civic Orchestra concerts.
