Benedetta Torre

In 2011/2012 she belonged to the “Opera youth Ensemble Studio” at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where she regularly attended master classes held by soprano Donata D'Annunzio Lombardi, her actually singing teacher.

She won several prizes in various International Singing Competitions, in Italy and abroad, singing then in concerts in Tokyo and Osaka, Graz, and she took part at 52° "Voci Verdiane" City of Busseto International Singing Competition, receiving a special mention in the final round for the voice and interpretation, in relation to her youth.

In november 2014 she was cover of Luisa in Luisa Miller at Teatro Carlo Felice, directed and performed by Leo Nucci and conducted by M° Andrea Battistoni.

In July 2015 she was a student of Riccardo Muti Opera Academy as Alice Ford in Falstaff, and in October of the same year she made her debut in Simon Boccanegra in the role of Amelia Grimaldi, conducted by M° Stefano Ranzani at the opening of the Teatro Carlo Felice season.

In December 2015 she was Mimì in La Bohème directed by Cristina Mazzavillani Muti and conducted by M° Nicola Paszkowski, went on stage at Ravenna Festival and in Vilnius, Novara and Piacenza; during the same period she was again Mimì at Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, under the direction of Marco Gandini. She has then been Adina in L'Elisir d'Amore in Genoa, and the Priestess in Aida for the Salzburg Festival 2017, under the baton of M° Riccardo Muti. 

Among her recent and future engagements the opening of Bari's Symphonic Season in Poulenc's Stabat Mater, then Mimì for the Circuito Marchigiano, Jeanne d’Arc au bucher at Festival della Valle d’Itria, her debut  as Susanna in a new production of Le nozze di Figaro at the Rome Opera, staged by Graham Vick, Mozart Requiem in Chicago conducted by M°Muti. She will debut in Glyndebourne as Adina in L’elisir d’amore.
