The CSO Latino Alliance hosts four preconcert networking receptions a season which feature special guest artists giving insights into the evening’s concert plus light food and beverages, followed by a Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert. The CSO encourages Chicago’s youth to learn music and share it with their communities. Program like the Youth in Music Festival bring together Chicago students and musicians from around the globe to collaborate under the direction of CSO Music Director Riccardo Muti, YOA Music Director Carlos Miguel Prieto and Civic Orchestra Principal Conductor Cliff Colnot. The Civic Orchestra of Chicago is the only training orchestra affiliated with a major American orchestra. The Civic Orchestra performs free concerts at Symphony Center as well as does Chamber concerts in parks around the city.
