Chinese New Year with The China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra

Celebrate the Chinese New Year with an exhilarating concert showcasing the rich history of Chinese music. The internationally acclaimed China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra, conducted by Pang Kapang, make their Chicago debut with a program of popular and traditional Chinese works, including the joyous “Spring Festival Prelude” and the cheerful “Hauer Caprice” with CSO cellist Katinka Kleijn as soloist. This special performance is part of Chicago’s annual citywide Chinese New Year celebration.

Ticketholders are invited to come early for a special performance featuring the Chinese Fine Arts Society Confucius Competition winners. Free to all ticketholders. This preconcert event will take place from 2-2:30 p.m. in Grainger Ballroom at Symphony Center.
