Civic welcomes American conductor Teddy Abrams, who currently serves as music director of the Louisville Orchestra and the Britt Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon, for his Symphony Center podium debut in a program that includes Aaron Copland’s iconic Symphony No. 3. The third and final symphony that Copland composed was hailed “the greatest American symphony ever written” by Serge Koussevitsky, who conducted its premiere with the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1946.
