One of the world’s most distinguished conductors, Neeme Järvi leads the CSO in Arvo Pärt’s Fratres, followed by Bartók’s Violin Concerto performed by CSO Concertmaster Robert Chen. Beethoven’s evocative portrait of nature, his Pastoral Symphony, closes the program.

Note for the Newcomer: His Pastoral Symphony, one of Beethoven's most famous pieces, is prominently featured in the Disney film Fantasia, in a countryside scene filled with magical centaurs and cherubs.
