How it Works

Step 1: Search for Student Ticket Events

Choose from the events listed on this page.

Step 2: Open Seat Selector

Click Select Seats which will open the seating tool. If the 3D seat tool appears, click on the Select from Best Available link in the bottom left of the tool.

Using the Best Available dropdown meanu, select the Web Student option along with number of seats and then add them to your cart.

The tickets you purchase will be held at the Box Office for pick-up. A valid Student ID is required for each Student Ticket ordered. When you purchase the tickets they will be shown as general admission. Seats will be assigned two hours prior to the concert. Seating assignments are based on availability and cannot be exchanged for a different area of the hall.

Please note, we will make every effort to assign seats together on the Main Floor or in the Terrace, but the actual seats you are assigned will be based on availability.

- Student ticket offers can not be applied to a group reservation.

- A valid student ID is required for each student ticket.



Day-of-Concert Student Tickets

Day-of Concert student tickets are $15 at the Box Office (cash only). A valid Student ID is required and there is a 1 ticket per student ID limit. For more information, please call (312) 294-3000.



MusicNOW

The most cutting-edge new music concerts in the city are available for students for just $10. Student subscriptions for all four concerts are also available for $20.

Concerts take place at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance and Symphony Center. A valid student ID is required.



Afterwork Masterworks®

This casual, four-concert series starts at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings and features the musical masterworks performed by the CSO without intermission. Students 18 and older (and accompanied youth ages 8 to 17) can subscribe to all four concerts for as little as $52!

Proof of age and/or valid student ID are required. 

Seating restrictions apply. Tickets will be held at the Box Office until proof of age and/or valid student ID are presented. Copies of identification can be faxed to (312) 294-3000. All artists, programs, and prices are subject to change.



Beyond The Score®

The first half of each Beyond the Score® program uses imagery, narration, and live musical examples to examine each masterful score, with a complete performance of the work by the CSO during the second half.
