8:00 PM
Friday, March 13, 2015

This event has LIMITED AVAILABILITY. Please call 312-294-3000 for returned ticket availability and additional seating options.

One of the greatest science fiction films of all time, 2001: A Space Odyssey is celebrated for its technological realism, innovative Oscar®-winning special effects and brilliant use of music. The film brought worldwide fame to the opening of Richard Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra and the music of György Ligeti, and includes one of cinema's most memorable scenes—a spaceship floating through space to Johann Strauss’ Blue Danube Waltz. See Stanley Kubrick’s compelling masterpiece about the ascent of mankind accompanied live by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in what is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Please note: performance time is approximately 3 hours. The first half is 90 minutes followed by a 15 minute intermission. The performance will start at 8:00 sharp and late seating may not be possible.

Presented in association with Warner Bros, Southbank Centre London and the British Film Institute.
