MusicNOW: Folk Songs

Feb3
7:00 PM
Monday, February 3, 2014

The lyrical and haunting vision of CSO Composer-in-Residence Anna Clyne comes to life in this concert informed by folk music and song. Her setting of a poem by Emily Dickinson is complemented by a virtuosic electro-acoustic work of Argentinian Martin Matalon and a re-imagination of old-time string band music by Mason Bates.

MusicNOW receives funding through a leadership challenge grant from Irving Harris Foundation, Joan W. Harris. Major support is also provided by Cindy Sargent and the Sally Mead Hands Foundation.

Pre- and postconcert entertainment provided by [illmeasures]
