Alborada del gracioso, Ravel

Ravel and Stravinsky

8:00 PM
Ravel, Stravinsky
Saturday, March 1, 2014

Marcelo Lehninger and CSO Solti Apprentice Matthew Aucoin lead a program of works by Ravel and Stravinsky, selected by Pierre Boulez. Ravel's vivid tone paintings evoke stormy seas and a jester's bittersweet serenade. These large orchestral canvases are juxtaposed with Stravinsky's charming and witty miniatures. The program will also feature video commentary by Pierre Boulez explaining how he structured these programs. Prepare for an evening that will surprise and delight the ear.

The February 28 concert is a part of our POST series–$35 tickets include a 21+ after-concert lounge. Use promo code POST at checkout!
