IMPORTANT CONCERT UPDATE: Conductor Osmo Vänskä, music director of the Minnesota Orchestra, is replacing Bernard Haitink as conductor for his appearances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, October 18 at 8 p.m.; Friday, October 19 at 8 p.m.; and Saturday, October 20 at 8 p.m. Haitink has been forced to cancel the first week of scheduled appearances with the CSO this season. The all-Brahms program remains unchanged.

Following rave reviews of their respective CSO debuts, brothers Renaud and Gautier Capuçon return and team up with the CSO for Brahms’ Double Concerto, a lyrical and passionate outpouring that can only be enhanced by the unique personal chemistry between these two soloists. Leading the CSO in Brahms' richly triumphant First Symphony is conductor Osmo Vänskä, music director of the Minnesota Orchestra.

Gautier and Renaud Capuçon will sign copies of their  recording of Brahms: Concerto for Violin and Cello in A minor, Op. 102 "Double"  in Grainger Ballroom after the concert on Saturday October 20th.
