On Saturday September 21, 2013, The Women’s Board of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra presents Symphony Ball, a sumptuous evening of music and festivities in celebration of Giuseppe Verdi. Symphony Ball’s black-tie event begins with celebratory pre-concert reception at Symphony Center at 6:00 p.m., followed by the concert at 7:00 p.m. which features Maestro Riccardo Muti leading the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chorus and special guests in selections from Verdi’s operas including Macbeth, Nabucco and La forza del destino. Immediately following the performance, Symphony Ball guests will gather at the Palmer House to enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing to The Bill Pollack Orchestra.
Governing Members (GMs) are nominated by the GM Nominations & Membership Committee to a three-year renewable term. A minimum of $10,500 must be contributed throughout each term.
A minimum gift of $3,500 to the GM Annual Fund each year is required.
