You can make a gift in general support of all Institute programs or you can designate your gift to the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

A gift for the Institute will help us to continue education and family concerts, open rehearsals for students, programs designed to serve Chicago Public Schools lacking music education programs, and opportunities for Chicagoland residents to attend and participate in performances and activities at Symphony Center and in community locations.

A gift for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago will help to continue the extraordinary work of this training ensemble, the only orchestra of its kind affiliated with a major American orchestra. Your gift also helps to keep Civic performances available to audiences at a minimal cost.

* Each voucher is good for one assigned seat in the lower balcony. Vouchers may be redeemed in any combination for reserved seats to Civic Orchestra of Chicago concerts. Vouchers may be redeemed throughout the season (maximum of four vouchers permitted per concert). You may redeem your vouchers by mail or in person at the box office up to 24 hours prior to the concert. Patrons with assigned seats will not be required to wait in the General Admission line.

Please note: Making a gift today will ensure your opportunity to receive reserved seats for remaining performances of the 2010-2011 season.

How is Your Civic Orchestra Dollar Spent

The Civic Orchestra is completely self-supporting. All expenses are covered through contributed income and Endowment earnings. Of each dollar contributed, 78 cents goes directly to support the Civic Orchestra’s mission of education, performance, and community engagement. The remaining 22 cents covers fundraising and administration expenses.
