The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is consistently hailed as one of today’s leading orchestras. In collaboration with preeminent conductors and guest artists on the international music scene, the CSO performs well over 120 concerts each year at its downtown home, Symphony Center.
Founded in 1891, the CSO has been led by such distinguished artists as Fritz Reiner, Daniel Barenboim and Sir Georg Solti. Riccardo Muti was appointed the CSO’s 10th music director, beginning in the 2010/11 season. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is committed to artistic excellence, music education and community programs, while also presenting a wide variety of programming for all ages. We hope you’ll join us at Symphony Center and start a new tradition with family and friends.
