NOW ACCEPTING REQUESTS FOR FREE TICKETS AND TRANSPORTATION
Thanks to a gift from an anonymous donor, the Institute is able to offer free tickets and transportation to a limited number of Chicago public schools with students in grades K-3 to attend a 2011-12 Very Special Promenades performance.
Eligibility requirements
- Chicago public school with students in grades K – 3.
- No groups from your school have attended a CSO Education Concert in the past three school years.
Due to limited availability, preference will be given to schools with a student population that consists of no less than 90% low income students, per the Chicago Public Schools website, www.cps.edu.
If your school is eligible, please email the Institute for Learning, Access and Training, and include:
1. School name
2. Principal name
3. Number of tickets requested (please factor in one chaperone ticket for every 10 student tickets)
4. Concert preference (see concert dates and programs above)
5. If you had to choose between free tickets or transportation, which would make it easier for your students to attend a CSO Education Concert?
6. If you and your students received free tickets and/or transportation to a Very Special Promenades performance, would you consider filling out a survey about your experience?
The deadline for requests for free tickets and transportation is Friday, September 2, 2011. If the requests received exceed the resources available, a lottery will be held. Applicants will be notified by September 16, 2011.
