“It will prepare you very well for jobs that will come your way down the road.” – Bill Buchman, CSO Assistant Principal Bassoon

Since 1997, selected Civic Orchestra musicians have been given the opportunity to form chamber ensembles that teach, mentor and perform at Chicago Public Schools, Chicago Park District fieldhouses and other community venues throughout the city.

This season, Civic ensembles will collaborate closely with Citizen Musician Fellows to push their creative, professional and artistic boundaries through a series of innovative public performances, educational performances at public schools and participation in the 2015 Chicago Youth in Music Festival.

If you are a regular or associate Civic musician for the 2014/15 season and would like to audition to join a chamber ensemble, please find more information here >
