Megan Kyle, a native of Yardley, Pennsylvania, began her musical studies on the violin at the age of five and took up the oboe four years later. In 2006 she made her solo debut with the Newtown Chamber Orchestra. Megan has performed with the New World Symphony in Miami and is currently a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She has performed in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, China, Singapore, and most recently in Japan as an academy member of the Pacific Music Festival. As a member of the Civic Orchestra’s Musicorps Woodwind Quintet, she performs educational concerts in schools and parks throughout Chicago.
Megan studied with Louis Rosenblatt, former English horn player of the Philadelphia Orchestra, before attending Oberlin Conservatory to earn a Bachelor of Music degree as a student of Robert Walters and Alex Klein, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Oberlin College. She is currently working toward a Master of Music degree at DePaul University as a student of Eugene Izotov.
